Today was a long day

Today we had a very long day because we unusually did more than 4 things in a day. In the first block we did maths in which we learned about how to make a statement by looking into a graph. In the second block we did two test first the STAR test and the second a test on our Visual studies.And then we did writing and in that I had finished the second paragraph of my speech.And it did sound pretty good and it was 1.33/3.00 minutes long.And in the last block we had silent reading for a long time and then carried on with our induction.

Another day with Miss T

In the beginning I sat down and we started off by going to the Media Hub for the Induction program we answered all the 30 questions that we made up and we made a power point presentation and the PP presentation was supposed to be a prototype of our induction. Then we had maths and in maths we learned about the importance of a key in a pie chart and how to make an accurate graph.And in the third block we did writing and in writing we had miss woosh and she helped me a bit about the speech and I hopped on to the computer and collected some information. In the forth block i played table tennis with mark.

Todays half day

At first I reached school and sat down. Once the bell rang we started of with a teacher who comes and teaches us on every tuesday for the  first two blocks. She taught us science in the first block and it was about stars and she had asked a few quesions and got a few unappropriate answers. The in the next block we had cultural studies and we learnt the definitions of Culture, Diversity and Cultural Diversity.Then in the end of the block we played table tennis then went out for our breaks. After that we had the third block and we did goal setting and the we did a little about the speech and suddenly we got packed up. The day had gone so fast that we didn't even know...

A pencil case that was made just within one block

I could not do any blogs last week because i was not feeling well and had a head cold......

But I did make it  to school this week and half of the first block got wasted because we had to stay back to do pending test but unfortunately we werent able to do them .I did manage to get a few minutes off the first block for tech and got the teacher to know a few of the rough ideas that i had thought of in the few minutes:
*i thought of making a money pouch
*small wallet etc_.
*a pencil case.
But i decided that pencil case was the most time saving idea and i made it .With my mind,eyes and hands working so fast ,i made it in the nick of time At the same time it had come out so good that the teacher took a picture of me with it......

Today we met mr Jerry Sullivan and he said that the induction programme was nessasery because it makes the child more "SECURE" he said...

And i just went on taking notes but i didnt get a chance to ask a question.he said that even the ministry of education also has a induction programme.

My defination on Story bird

Storybird is a website that allows a user to build up for people who like writing and want to explore their own imagination.

Today MR.OLIVER of Pukete primary school,hamilton .

I asked him 4 questions:
What would you expect from a new student?
What can a new student expect from your school?
What is your Transition Programme like?
Do you think these programme are important/nessesery?

and he said that he would expect a new student to know a few general things.
A new student can expect a lt of cool stuff.
That his school has no Transition programme.
He thinks it is very nessassery for the mental devolopment of a new student.

Today i made a poster on the question "what is a induction"

I had written my own explanation about it that said Induction is a programme that enables the new student to get involved in the school.
another explaination that i gave was that it is a training course that helps a student familiarize with the new school...

Acorrding to girls high it is a different way of introducing induction and trancition.induction is a way of introducing and involving students to the school and trancition is the way they mmove to uni's

ON SATURDAY AN EARTHQUAKE HIT CHRISTCHUCH A DISTRICT IN CANTEBURY. IT MEASURED 7.1 ON THE RICHTER SCALE AND GAVE A SERIOUSLY VERY DEVASTATING AFFECT ON THE RESIDENTS OF CANTUBURY BECAUSE EVEN MANY AFTERSHOCKS WERE FELT THROUGH OUT THE AREA. IT IS SAID THAT IT IS ONE OF THE WORST EVER IN AROUND 30 YEARS OR SO.

WE WERE SAMS 1 IN YESTERDAYS SUPER FUN NET BALL GAME AGAINST BARKLEY SCHOOL .WE HAD MITCHELLE, BRITNEY, KHAN, PAVITHRA, SHONUM AND JIA. IT WAS SERIOUS FUN EVEN THOUGH WE LOST ALL THE MATCHES .I WAS THE DEFENDER IN THE FIRST THREE MATCHES AND WAS SUB IN THE LAST ONE

Today was one of the most exiting days

Because today we went to Inzone and played Netball aginst Barkley . We had Michelle, Britney, Jia, khan, Pavithra, dipsika and Shonum.we had 4 matches and i was defending for 3 and was a sub in one. It was really a lot of fun even though we lost. and there was a lot of team work involved.....
